How this invoice generator works
This tool runs entirely in your browser. The form on the left updates the invoice preview on the right in real time. When you click "Print / Save as PDF", the browser's native print dialog opens with only the invoice visible — form fields and navigation are hidden automatically via CSS print styles.
What it does
- Calculates line item totals (quantity × rate)
- Adds optional tax based on your rate percentage
- Generates a clean, printable invoice layout
- Supports multiple line items with add/remove
Limitations
- No data persistence — refreshing the page resets everything
- No multi-currency support in this version
- No logo upload or template switching
- Not a replacement for professional invoicing software
Frequently asked questions
Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on the number of invoices you can create. Everything runs in your browser.
How do I save the invoice as PDF?
Click the "Print / Save as PDF" button. In the print dialog, choose "Save as PDF" as the destination. The form and navigation will be hidden automatically.
Is my invoice data stored anywhere?
No. All data stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server or saved in a database. Refresh the page and the form resets.
Can I add tax or sales tax?
Yes. Enter your tax rate percentage in the Tax rate field. The tax amount and total will update automatically.
Does this work for freelancers and consultants?
Absolutely. Use your business name or personal name as the sender, and add hourly or project-based line items.
What payment terms should I use?
Common options are "Due on receipt", "Net 15", "Net 30", or "Net 60". Choose the term that matches your agreement with the client.
